here is a picture of a special food they sell in Anshan (a very small, depressing city an hour south of Shenyang). i didn't see it anywhere else in the city besides the train station.
it was surprisingly delicious. i accidentally bought wayyyy to much lol but it turned out being worth it. it had like a granola base with dried fruit and some sort of honey/molasses mixture to hold it all together. granola doesn't really seem to exist in china as far as i can tell, so this was a refreshing taste!
it looks like the guys selling it are of some sort of central asian descent. well, whoever they are, this must be their specialty.
