china is becoming more and more like the west right before my very eyes. i thought maybe it was just a fluke last week, but now that i saw several people do it today i think it's official- you have to bus your own tray at the fast food restaurants here now!!!!
as the leftover contents from my meal slid from the tray into the waste bin, i never felt so down in my whole life.
at least they still do bike delivery (see picture)...
Is this written by using humor and sarcasm? :) Maybe if I'd hear this story from your mouth I could know it from the tone of your voice. Anyways, while travelling in China I was surprised that we don't need to take away the trash by ourselves. I sometimes take them and it's somehow embarrashing when the cleaner lady pics up the tray from my hands. I told to my parents that in China you don't need to clean out the trash at a fast food restaurant and they immediately told that it would be chaotic all those Chinese running with their trays to take them away that it's better someone else cleans them. Some people are about to lose their jobs if people take care of their own trash. It's a really good service though.
