"When Fortuna spins you downward, go out to a movie and get more out of life. Ignatius was about to say this to himself; then he remembered that he went to the movies almost every night, no matter which way Fortuna was spinning."

Another important lesson from the Chinese English book
This story is so Chinese it's ridiculous. In case you can't see the pictures well, the script goes like this:
There was a little boy. He was Chinese. His name was Kong Rong.
Kong Rong had a big family.
One day, his father came home. He had a big bag. There were lots of pears in the bag.
Everyone wanted to eat the pears.
Father said, "Kong Rong, give a pear to each person."
Kong Rong gave the very big pears to his grandma and grandpa. "Thank you, Kong Rong," they said.
Then he gave the big pears to his mother and father. "Good boy, Kong Rong," they said.
Kong Rong gave the other pears to his brothers and sisters. They ate the pears.
Then he saw one very small pear. "This pear is for me," he said. "I will eat it."
All his family were very happy with Kong Rong. "You are a very good boy," said his father.
